In which fashion aspect do you think Great Britain excelled in the 19th century and had an impact on Paris itself? It was sporting costume! The most fashionable tailor in Paris was Henry Creed, an Englishman. He was a genius at cutting riding habits for both men and women. Queen Victoria and Empress Eugenie used his services equally well.

We don‘t know how about you, but for us, riding habit is the most elegant costume of the feminine garderobe.
